Developing the highest purity valencene
Perfumer & Flavorist’s managing editor Eden Stuart interviewed our very own Michael Malone for their podcast series: the conversation revolves around Evevalencene 94%, the highest purity valencene product available on the global flavor market.
According to EU regulations the minimum purity requirement for valencene is of 94%. Currently most available products on the market have a purity around 80%: this is due to major technical challenges that could not be overcome so far. Having recognized this gap as a market opportunity, at Evolva we have set to create a higher quality product to match regulations and customers’ demands at once.
With Evevalencene 94% we have developed and commercialized the first valencene product globally with this level of purity and the first to comply to EU regulations. Having the capabilities and expertise on R/D and on manufacturing side in-house and working together as a team has been a crucial factor to achieve this milestone.
